Hendon RFC are looking forward to the new challenges of life in London 3.
It has certainly been a busy time at Hendon. The appointment of Mike Head as club coach with responsibility for the 2nd team on Saturday and Matthew Jackson as women's coach has certainly added some experience to the coaching set up.
Director of Rugby, Phil Smith, is working hard with the squad to get them ready for the new season with warm up games against Luton and Stockwood Park in the first two weeks in September.
"Covid has had a big impact on the squad. We have lost a few experienced players who have moved from the area. However, we have a few new recruits who are settling in well. Will Wildman and Dragos Ciocan will add some creativity to the back line whilst Connor Bowler and Harrison Teague will add some competition in the back row." commented Phil.
The side have started looking at the new structure for the season and  training at the club on Wednesdays has been well supported. Training at Stone X starts in a couple of weeks and we hope we can add a couple more to the squad before the new season.
