Hendon RFC are delighted to announce the new 1st XV Captain for the upcoming season as William Theaker.
Director of Rugby Phil Smith is confident he will do a great job. "Will is the right age, has a lot of experience and always gives 100 percent on the pitch. He will have a lot of support from the leadership group including Vice Captain Nick Andrews and we are sure he will lead from the front."
Phil also paid tribute to last season's Captain Cian Hynes. "The players, the Club and I owe a big thanks to Cian for his leadership of the First XV over the past few years: gaining promotion, winning the London & SE Cup, keeping the playing side together through Covid restrictions and helping the team to be extremely competitive in their new League this season just finished. Not to mention his goal kicking prowess. Thanks Cian."
Will said "I am looking forward to the new challenge at Hendon RFC as captain of the 1st XV and to working with all the players and coaches for next season.”
